Prerequisites
- PADI Divemaster or equivalent – see PADI Divemaster.
- Age 18 or older.
- Current CPR and first aid – see Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care.
What you will gain
- To assist instructors and teach selected parts of courses.
- An introduction to the PADI instructor curriculum and standards.
- Teaching skills to build on in the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).
How the course works
You earn the Assistant Instructor rating by taking the Instructor Development Course (PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)). If you do not take the Instructor Examination straight away, you can still be signed up as Assistant Instructor.

The Tsereve Challenge: Everest in reverse
100+ metres is the Mount Everest of scuba diving. Far fewer people have dived that deep than have stood on top of Everest. Join the challenge: training, warm-up dives and the descent to 100+ m. Start from zero or from any point in your diving, even as a Tec Trimix 65 diver.
The final programme includes a certificate and a t-shirt. We run it in cooperation with Dive Aqaba.
